webbership tracking
First-party tracking, built for efficient ads
Context
Before you spend on ads, you need conversion data you can trust. Classic browser analytics loses more and more events — blocked by extensions, by browsers, and by cookie limits — and ships data to third parties. With bad data, Meta and Google optimize the wrong way and budget goes to waste.
Solution
We build our own tracking: a first-party browser script, activated only with consent, plus a collector on our server that sends conversions straight to the Meta and Google APIs. It captures full attribution (sources, campaigns, gclid, fbclid), deduplicates events, and keeps the data with us. It’s in active development.
What we built it with and why
- Go: a small, fast collector that’s easy to operate
- First-party browser script: no external dependencies, consent-based
- Direct integrations with the Meta and Google APIs, from the server
Outcome
It runs on our sites and measures every campaign, from ad click to conversion, feeding clean data back to Meta and Google. An internal tool for now, for our own projects — it may become a product, we don’t know yet.
